Towcestrians Colts took the first step in retaining the Oceanic Cup with a quarter final win against Old Scouts, last years beaten finalists.
In a competitive match Towcester took a 3 – lead into the second half with a drop goal by Brandon Kerr, the lead was doubled early in the second half with a converted penalty by James Falvey. The match remained in the balance despite pressure from both sides until the a try by Scott Howkins, converted by James Falvey put the game out of Old Scouts reach.
Towcester will now play a home semi final on / before 20th March.
